Summary
Alicia Joy, QLEC, LMT realized her natural gift as a healer while studying Classical Swedish massage and reflexology.
Her gift for massage comes with many modalities such as Swedish, Myofacial, Acupressure, Meridian and Thai techniques. However, Thai Yoga Massage is the technique she is best known for.
After developing chronic back spasms, I sought relief through the practice of this mindful healing and cultural blessing from Thailand. Its responsible for inspiring me to pursue my true nature as an energy healer and massage therapist.

Describe your business
Higher Mind Healing provides massage therapy and LED lights sessions to clients in an effort to reduce stress, pain in suffering. Client should depart feeling much improved, in less pain and with a better mood.
What made you decide to open this business?
A passion to be of service to individuals at a personal level.
What was it like when you first started?
Challenging! Where do clients come from? How do you identify who my best clients are?
What would your customers say they love most about your business?
My touch and my empathetic nature.
What’s the most memorable experience you’ve had working with a customer?
A customer said, “I can draw a line around where each pad was, because those are the places that didn’t hurt anymore.”
Do you have any exciting plans for the future that you want customers to know about?
No: Just to build and maintain my knowledge and experience to be better able to serve.
What is something most people don’t know about the business?
LED technology can make a difference to your well-being.
Who are some of your business idols and role models? And why?
Dr. Whelan: Uses lights to help cancer patients.
Dr. Dispenza: Proving the power of placebo.
What do you like most about being an entrepreneur?
Flexible schedule. Being responsible for my success.
Do you have any advice that you want to share with other entrepreneurs?
Word of mouth is key. Know your strengths and weaknesses. Develop your skills. Be aware of the market space.
What do you love most about the neighborhood?
It cares. There are a lot of good people here. There is a sense of community.
